The main mission of CLAM is to develop projects and activities that promote the settlement and socio-economic integration of immigrants. In this sense, its main mandates focus on the development of services and programs aimed at fostering the integration of newcomers and immigrants into their new environment, and at the same time to make Quebecers aware of the reality ethnocultural communities. Thus, as part of its mission, CLAM is involved in many areas of intervention including, among others:
Welcoming newcomers and meeting their immediate needs
The promotion and accompaniment of newcomers and immigrants in the search for and use of the resources offered by their living environment
The development of local initiatives aimed at better integration of immigrant clienteles
Promoting the development and implementation of policies that promote services tailored to the realities of newcomers and immigrants, in areas such as employment, education, health, social services, etc.
